I am sure living in this automated world, each one of us desperately feels at some point in time to just run away into some wilderness, away from the madding crowd, the pressing demands, the vicious cycle of mundane routine, the never-ending responsibilities and the distressing situations we all experience, whether at workplace or home. Considering the given situations, it’s not wrong, whatsoever, to have some ME TIME once in a while. All our lives, most of us are running from pillar to post, fulfilling our domestic and social responsibilities.
Amidst this whirlpool of activities which we are caught up in, is it too much if we ask for a little ME TIME??? Certainly not. But surprisingly, as a matter of fact, the very idea of self- indulgence still is taken as a big deal, especially in our Indian society and women seem to get gnawed by a sense of guilt if they even think of pampering themselves and taking a little time out.
It’s high time, we realized the importance of spending time with our own selves because over the years we have all become like machines, doing the same things day in and day out and we seem to have left behind our real selves somewhere in the abysmal past.
Hence, ME TIME should be made a priority. Once you start making time for yourselves and learn to enjoy your own company, you will not only do tremendous good to yourself but also will be more productive and useful to others.
