Under the mentorship of Mr. Manish Seksaria- Head of Department (Computer Science) and Roundsquare representative- four students, namely- Aryika Mehrotra, Suryansh Agarwal, Divy Tandon and Ishan Gupta, from Seth Anandram Jaipuria School attended the Round Square Conference organised by The Doon School, Dehradun on the 11th of August, 2020. The conference was centred around the theme of Resilience during these trying times. Attended by over 100 students and teachers from across the globe, the conference served host to two brilliant minds in the field of psychology and revolved around sparking conversations among the youth regarding the mental and physical effects and consequences of the Novel Coronavirus on every individual. Keeping true to the theme of resilience, there were discussions as well as educational presentations emphasising the need for resilience among individuals in these trying times as well as exemplifying the resilient characteristics in people we interact with on a regular basis. The virtual conference also saw breakout discussions, debates and interactive sessions as well which proved extremely insightful. These activities opened students up to different perspectives on a mutually worrisome situation as well as provided them with a platform to express their own views and approaches to this pandemic. The well structured discussion agendas, questions and proper moderation facilitated fruitful debates and discussions among the participants. The organisers and mentors ensured that students were eloquent and could relate and contribute to every aspect of the discussion through ice-breakers, insightful activities and feedback sessions. The conference served as an aggregator of diverse ideas, opinions, outlooks and brought out the true meaning of ‘Resilience’ in these trying times.
