Simulation of the Indian Parliament

The Seth Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations Club organised the Simulation Of The Indian Parliament through a Zoom Meeting on 4th August,2020 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for classes VII to IX.

The agenda was “Deliberation on protecting the secular fabric of India with special emphasis on hate crimes.”

The Chief Guest for the conference was our esteemed Principal ma’am,Mrs.Shikha Banerjee. Also present at the occasion were respected Vice Principal sir and Head Mistress ma’am. The Social Science faculty and other teachers were a part of the virtual conference as well.

Pranjali Tripathi and Anmay Khemka of class XI-E were the Chairperson of the Indian Committee. All the 50 delegates zealously contributed to the discussion which reached fruition at the end.

Although each delegate was exceptional in his or her own way, Shashi Tharoor (Suyash Tripathi VIII -A, Sonia Gandhi (Aniquaah Ather IX-D) and Rajnath Singh (Nandini Puri VIII-A) stood out in proving their debating mettle. The conference saw heated discussions, assertion of opinions as well as healthy debates on the burning . In order to acquaint the students with an exemplary delegate performance, Anmay Khemka took the portfolio of Kanhaiya Kumar and presented his viewpoint as a delegate for a while during which the committee was moderated by Pranjali Tripathi.

This conference proved helpful in instilling among the students a sense of responsibility and sensitivity towards vital social issues. It inculcated in the students a progressive thought process, competency and oratory skills.
