A Mock United Nations session was held on 30th November, 2019. Discussing urban refugee crisis, the auditorium of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School was no more a mere school Assembly Hall as the ever-nostalgic yellow walls morphed into a mock United Nations Conference. The students of Classes IX and XI engaged in a fiery fast-paced debate on various problems pertaining to the refugees such as the Rohingya crisis and the Syrian crisis. An umpteen number of issues such as lack of funds, inadequate electricity supply, atrocities committed against the refugees and unhygienic conditions prevailing in refugee camps were discussed and pondered upon by the delegates of countries like Yemen, Jordan, Syria, Myanmar, United States of America and Bangladesh.
It was a platform for the middle school students to boost up their confidence and hone their oratory skills. All in all, the conference turned out to be very beneficial and informative for the audience.
