It was a privilege for all of us to be invited to participate in the four day event Springfest-2015 organized by IIT Kharagpur from 22nd to 26th January 2015. Springfest is the biggest event organized in East India. 60 students from our school participated in around 70 events packed in these four days. It was a very tiring but a new kind of experience which shall always be there in our memory.
Students got the opportunity to interact with IIT students, learnt various ideologies and competed with college students who gave a very tough competition but three of our students managed to bag prizes. Divyanshu Pandey won 1st prize in “SF Karaoke” (singing) and a cash reward of Rs. 3000, Chinab Uprety and Vrinda Khera won 1st prize in “A Mighty Pen” and a cash reward of Rs. 10000 and 3rd prize in “Impromptu” was won by Chinab Uprety.
The students got the opportunity to attend various live concerts of Indian Ocean, Euphoria, Farhan Akhtar’s live performance and rock bands like Spunk and Paradigm Shift. There were many events in various fields like literary, quizzes, plays, nukkad, and dances.
In all, it was an educative as well as a fun event where students learnt a lot.
